Twitter has hit 50 million tweets per day mark - more than 20 times the traffic the microblogging service was experiencing a year ago.

FamVille has more users than the whole of Twitter, the social networking website said.
FarmVille, a Facebook application allowing people to be virtual farmers which was not developed by Facebook, lists almost 70 million monthly active users.
